HANA part 2: Well, that ain't fair

I've been sitting on the biggest Heroes webcomics bomb since we found out who Dallas and Austin are, and the beans get spilt in a questions column. Ah well. Cest la vie! They're the writers, I guess they can do what they want. =)

Anyhoo...

Yeah. So now you know the title of the comic, "The Death of Hana Gitelman."

And if you think you know the ending - guess again. Is it metaphorical? Literal? Humorous? Is it just the end of her in the comics? This story is going to keep you on the edge of your seat.

As you can see, I saw the title and I was taken aback. After reading the script I just knew I had to be a part of this. It's not a decision I didn't make lightly.

22 pages.

Drawn and coloured by myself.

At the cost of my friends and my business for a month.

Alone and unarmed in enemy territory.

The death of Hana Gitelman.

So now you know. =)

On an even better side, the final page of part 2 (page 11) is a HUGE splash page featuring every cliff-hanger from the end of season 1. I have just finished it, and it is the BEST page I've ever... EVER drawn. It's a total knockout and I couldn't be happier. EVERY likness is spot on: Peter, Nathan, Mohinder, Parkman, Niki, DL, Hiro, HRG, Claire and Sylar. On a superficial glance you might think I've traced over the screen caps from the episode. But I shot totally original material to create the same poses from unique angles with stylistic lighting so all the images merge together.

It's truly my HEROES magnum opus and a fitting end to the story.

Oh I can't wait to see the last page now! I mean, I couldn't wait to see it before, but now that we know that you're happy with it and that it's awesome, I really can't wait! lol.
I'm guessing that's Micah, too, and it looks like Niki (or is she Jessica? or Candice? lol) behind him. I see blonde hair.
My guess for the title - The Death of Hana Gittleman, the rebirth of Wireless? It might be a good spring board to bring her onto the screen again.
Awesome job as always, Jason :)

AAAAAhhhhhhh!!
You cannot continue to post things like that, I won't be able to sleep now, I WANT THEM!!!
That's funny because I almost want your novels more than the show itself ! I think you and your posts are part of this :)
Btw, I didn't read all your posts/comments so I don't get it, you claim to have coloured all your Heroes novels alone ? I didn't knew you were a colourist also ! I thought you weren't because of Annette coloured some of the War Buddies novels but after all, why won't you be a colourist too!

Jason...you're just a big tease! I can't wait to see the comics and especially the last page. I'm sure you've done an amazing job as usual.

I also can't believe that they gave the name of the comic out and really really hope, since we saw Hana five years in the future, that this isn't really her dealth.

Seriously, damn.

rini: I'M a big tease?!! You think I don't wanna show you? I tend to try and "put out" on the first date. =)

Leshia: I'm tempted to print out A2 versions for San Diego and just sell them at printing cost (so I can't be hassled for likeness rights or by NBC).

Where's Linderman? Micah? Ando? Ted? Molly? Candace? Have they died? Sylar's still alive?! OMG Spoiler!

So is that your buddy Lee that you drew? Very nice. I love the clouds -- nicely textured. The whole thing is dark and brooding, yet heroic. I'm psyched for Tuesday morning to see a Badower-colored comic. Well that, and to open your blog and not see a whitewashed image with a message blocking everything. :)

And people say Nathan's ability isn't useful. If I could fly, I could make it to your party! LOL Have fun, and serve something chocolate so at least I'm there in spirit... 8-) (Yes, I'm the Chocolate Goddess, didn't you know?)

It's prolly too early to ask, but any news on you maybe getting to the San Francisco comic convention next year? (gets on knees and clasps hands)

What did you think of "The Hard Part"???

If only you did put out on the first date I wouldn't be sitting here checking your blog hourly to see if you've posted anything new and if I can adjust my screne to actually make out a picture!

5 days and counting!

The anticipation of these novels is Painful! It hurts to wait!
I totally wish I could buy them, so that they could be shiny, and bound. Instead,I'm going to print these suckers out and add them to my comic collection.
